'Click' under dash

Ok, I hope this should not have been posted in the newb section, but flame away if I screwed up. I figured the newb section was for things like, "What does 'MR' mean" or "What should be my first mod." ect...

From time to time I notice this light 'click' noise from under the dash (at least it sounds like it's under the center front part of the dash) whenever I let of the throttle. I can't here it after WOT or when cabin noise is high but it is there and present almost anytime the throttle is released from any position.

Anyone else notice this I just want to know what it is/if it's normal ect.. It does not sound like a BOV or any type of 'air' or turbo spool. It's a faint 'click' like a solinoid or something. Car is 100% bone stock.

Hmm Interesting. Well I'm still a total newbie when it comes to EVO's but I owned a VR4 for awhile which were notorious for getting a lifter tick. Which is a clicking noise from behind the dash. (Left side)

I get the click too. In my case it is very random and difficult to reproduce. I've noticed that it is temperature dependent, the hotter it is, the more it appears. It seems to originate somewhere in the front of the dashboard close to where it meets the windshield. Every attempt I've tried to isolate the location or fix it has been fruitless, so I've just learned to just deal with it.

Its a rally car, not a lexus.

If that one little click annoys you take a ride in a STI. Those suckers rattle, and click like crazy behind the dash.

I have it too. It sounds electronic like a solenoid or relay.

No, I'm not complaining, lol. It's just something audible I here and want to know what it is. I know and understand about every sound the Evo makes like the driveline wine/turbo/road noise/exhaust/interior rattles ect.. But for the life of me I can not figure out what the hell the clicking sound is Like what if the sound stops, is this ok? What if it gets worse, is this ok? It's just one of those things I need to understand

I actually thought someone would have told us by now, lol. Should this get posted in the advanced forums
