very true. all you have to do is run vin. no guessing. it seems the previous owner went at a few parts before trade in. either that or ****ed up oem bumper. explain it to dealer and they HAVE to lower price. they should know what they have, but seems they are testing the water and seeing if some kid with money comes along and buys it just because it says evolution on the trunk.

Q: How do you "drives a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR Apex Silver" yet you don't know much about this car - don't you own one?

does anyone know if there is a difference between the rear differential in a regular evo IX compared to a IX MR?

+1 plus it should be clean for that price tag. I would be cautious on that eventhough it's nice Do more search and you'll find one.

5-speed evos are the best for large turbo powerbands. And are faster than 6-speed transmissions for the most part, and 5-speed transmissions are stronger than the mr transmissions. I would never get a mr unless their were no 5-speed evos available. The 6-speed tansmissions will give you the slowest quartermile times.

Dont know where you got your information from, go to www.ttp-enginerring.com where Scott has his MR that ran a 10.92 @ 124.94 with a 6spd on a stock turbo.

the only weak point of a 6spd is the cooling issues/
