Take it to the dealer. Could be a sensor or something gumming up an oil passage.

It is either your oil sending unit sensor going bad, OR your oil weight is too light. I put 5W30 in for the cold weather. The weather decided to stay hot for too long. When I would come to a stop in traffic, my oil light would flicker. Changed back to 10W30, all is well! Try that!

I think the 9's had a problem with the sending unit... The op has an 8 though.. the sending units are cheap.. I would replace it and it is still doing it then take it to the dealer. I replaced mine and it went away.. 25-30 bucks as opposed to diagnostic fee of dealer of 80 bucks then they will proly charge 50-60 bucks for the sensor and an hour or two to do it... and new oil and filter... big charge.. do it your self if you can.. My opinion..

i had the same problem. My oil light flickered on and off constantly when i was at a stop or downshifting. It was a bad oil pressure sensor. i replaced it. 30 bucks. and now it works fine.
