Upgrading to a REAL car
alright well nines are great, you can turn your 9 into an se with a vortex gen and a lip from mistu's parts dept for relatively cheap. The tranny upgrade is a smart thing to do if you have the money to spend , and trannys on here aren't that hard to find , only the mr and ssl's came with hids but a kit off ebay will work fine trust me i know about 13 people who run them and they have warrantys. MRs actually weigh the same if not more if you get weighed at the track my gsr - the tire jack, spare , front and rear crash bars weigh less than my friends mr because the 6sp is pretty heavy.

Its time for me to sell my WRX and upgrade to a REAL car.
I'm having trouble deciding what to get. I plan on modding - HTA35R eventually.
It has to be a 9, and I wanted wicked white, aluminum roof/hood/fenders, HID's, and a 5spd.
The SE seemed perfect for what I wanted except for they dont come in white.
The MR is great except the tranny. If I go with an MR, how much could I sell my 6spd for, and how much is a used 5spd? I would like to probably eventually upgrade to a shep or bushwacker tranny sometime anyways....
How much of a weight saving is there from the aluminum roof/hood/fenders? If its not much I could possibly consider the standard 9, but I would miss the HID's too.
The RS is out, I need power windows/doors.

1.) Get a wicked white MR, deal with the 6spd for a while which might not be so bad.
2.) Learn to like the graphite grey and get the SE...the color is growing on me. (how hard do you think it will be to find one of these bad boys?)
- what are the best places to shop for a car? craigslist? evolutionm.net? dealerships?

The RS also comes with a liter trunk lid as well. They did not make an RS-SE, so the only way your gonna find something like that is if you buy the SE lip, rims and interior and put it in your self. If you want wicked white, buy a GSR IX.
