i need one made too...
in Madison, WI
it costs...
key - $39 + tax
remote - $96.55 + tax
programming - $22.00 + tax
-----------------------------------
programming is you pay that fee once per session...for example if u want 5 keys at once you pay just $22.00 and all the keys get programmed but if u get some now and get some later it will cost you both times...i need a key but dont want to spend money on it yet...i need a new headlight...

If you have the 2 original keys you can program a cut one yourself using the car. Which I am assuming you don't have.

That's surprisingly less expensiven than I thought. Some keys cost several hundred.

I dont know who does programing for 22.00 + tax (way too cheap) and who ever doing it they can't charge tax on LABOR.

I just had two keys made, so i know exact prices. I get parts at cost key was 35, remote was 82 and programing was 100. Thats for the lock smith guy to come out to your house and program it for you. Only takes like 5 min once he gets to your car.

He usually charges 100 to program a key but he did it for both keys.

And if you want to save money just buy remote on ebay, you could pick one up for about 25shipped.

I paid $160 plus tax at my local dealer. It was done on the spot.

I lost my last pair of keys last week and was wondering if anyone know or had any experience of having your warranty voided while they programmed your keys. I'm scared they will see the EBC and AFR gauges, exhaust etc I need a key tomorrow but would like to find another solution that doesn't involve the dealership
