evo daily driver - mpg
^^^no with the right tune, the right tuner at the keyboard, it is possible, im currently been driving mostly city im barely between 1/2 tank to 1/3 left n ive got almost 180 miles, been drivin conservative lately, but make no mistake it is possible.
I've seen as low as ~190 and as high as ~280, really depending on how I'm feeling. Funny actually, my best tank came after driving home from a day at the drag strip, haha. The freeway and the WOT runs evened out, I guess.
I was able to squeeze out 308 highway miles on a full tank, I never run the car low on gas it was long way to the nearest gas station lol In the city I usually get around 230-260 depending on heavy my foot feels.
.
Why is it hard to get better than 250miles to a tank? My car is relatively stock powertrain wise and I see 270s DDing and very close to 300 highway in the summer. Just watch your damn boost gauge! lol. I already know through logging which rpm/speed/vacuum parameters will give me best fuel economy. My theoretical maximum is 27mpg. And for city I don't go into boost driving away from a dead stop and shift before 2.5k or 3k.
I get 280-300 a tank driving 50/50 city and highway which comes to 23-25mpg. I'm not exactly lite on the throttle either. It honestly blows my mind. I'm making 450+whp running 1680cc injectors and a lot of other mods. You gotta love a good tune.
Wow, that's awesome. I get similar mileage on my stock IX MR driving 50/50 city highway.
Man!, some of you guys are getting really good mpg's. A full tank haven't lasted more than 205 miles on my evo. I drive around 70 miles daily. I think I need get my evo to a shop to see whats the deal.
in the summer i get about 280-290 miles on the tank (evo ix mr). this is 90% highway, no traffic and at a steady 3k rpms. i really don't think i can do any better.
in the winter, the miles drops down to the 240-250 range. i warm the car up on colder days and the fuel makes a difference that time of the year.
