BOOST gauge question???
Hey folks I just received my boost gauge(mechanical). I decided on placing it on the a-pillar. I bought an autometer gauge pod. I now where the vacuum line and the t-fitting go. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to power it???
I hate doing anything electrical. I have some experience nothing too major.
any suggestions I was thinking about wiring it to the gauge cluster b/c that's is always on.
any help is greatly appreicated. Thanks guys

I spliced the 12v positive power wire from the gauge dimmer switch. It is green and white, and very thin.
As for the ground wire, just attach a ring terminal to the ground wire and screw it in somewhere metal on the chassis. I used the bit of metal near the clutch against the firewall.
PM me if you have any questions. There is more than one way to do it.

cool thanks, Mine has a black(ground) Red(im' guessing that goes to a power source, and an amber one(for the color preference). My boost gauge has a color preference. If I want it amber then I hook up the amber to an acc. according to the directions.
Do I have to attach both the red and orange one to the dimmer switch???
Thannks for the help.

Hmmmm, interesting anyone care to chime in.
Yes, but it's a mechanical boost gauge... it will display boost without power, the 12v lead is for LED only.
Trending Topics
The power lead that was mentioned for the dimmer is appropriate because it's fused with other interior lights and is 12v switched with the lights... makes sense and easy access.
