Need to Re-Paint Fascia Mesh Grills - Help/Thoughts/Opinions

My mesh grills got blasted this winter and I need to repaint them. I have a couple of questions... 1) How long does it take to remove the front Fascia? (I've determined there is no way around NOT removing it) and 2) What would be the best paint to use (that would resist chipping)?

Is there anything I need to look out for or keep in mind when I do this?

Thanks!

Not sure how long to remove the front bumper, but for paint, I would suggest a flat black primer. It will be durable, dry quick, wont drip and last pretty well. I painted grills with this before, and it worked quite well.

there is only 4 bolts to the front bumper and two clips. and i believe a few bolts on the mesh. i recommend using primer, then paint, then a clearcoat. i wouldnt risk taping off. not worth it if its only a few bolts. my evo is white and my mesh is painted red, on the hood too. i like it. my ic pipin is red too and my heat shield is takin out so you can see under the hood.

That doesn't make sense at all. If your going to remove the bumper why not spend the extra 5 minutes to remove the grill?

On a side note my grill chips all the time after winter time since I live in Chicago. I paint my grill twice a year and have not removed the bumper yet. I tape off he bottom of my bump and paint with Krylon with a foam brush. All I do is touch up areas that are chipped and it looks great.
