Im still a newb here and I've only had my EVO for a little over a week. So last night I went out to a local meet and hung out for little around 10pm. Checked out some cars, chatted a bit, and got in my car to go home. Normally I take a route where I cruise the highway a little and exit a couple ramps early to take a back roads, cause its faster than taking the actual exit to my part of town. So with my infinite logic I assume its better to stay on the highway cause its through the city and theres less chance of hitting a deer. Well I didn't hit a deer, but I hit a possum. By the time I see the little bastard its too late. I did brake but I was too close to make a difference. I was also boxed in either side by a large truck on the left and a car on the right. Possum was in dead center of my lane. So I nail the little **** going about 50mph. He gets jammed under my fascia and I feel him get nailed by my left rear tire. The worst part is I bypassed my normal route just to avoid this kind of crap. Needless to say I pull over at the next decent light source and check out the damage. Well theres none I can see. Though at low speeds I keep hearing something bump or rattle. I put the car on stands and I see nothing wrong, but theres this noise now. I'm hoping I just knocked the underbody panel loose but I dont see any loose bolts or screws. I took off the tires and checked my suspension and all seems normal. Any ideas ?

There is a lot of little plastic screw type fasteners on the plastic underpanel. Just take it all off and see if the sound is still there. If so check the exhaust hangers. Also check the heat shields on the Cat if you still have one installed.
