Finally

I've sold my 350z, now it 's time to buy the Evo.

Well I've been looking at this 05 electric blue Evo VIII at a dealership...and I haven't got to ask much about it yet..but I do know it has Exhaust, headers, downpipe and a boost controller..I was just wondering (with a tune)..how much power do you think It'll be making to the wheels? I know I need to find out what kind of exhaust, headers, etc..but I was just wondering around how much power It'll be making.

BTW, if you know any easy mods (that it doesn't already currently have) that can gain some power for a decent price..list..

evo newbie here.

It doesn't really matter what kind of parts are on there, because for bolt-ons like those they are all really the same performance wise. With a good tune, and an intake, you should be in the 300's I would guess maybe 320-330. Lol just a guess, but it will def be a big increase in power over stock.

It really depends on the dyno 300-330...... But a 2005 with tbe, mbc, intake, walbro and a tune will run around 110mph trap... Thats assuming an average driver....

Cheers!

You made a good choice, the only things I miss about my 350z was the low end Tq. and the gas mileage on the highway. You'll love the Evo. Go through the Evo Modding for dummies thread, it has alot of useful information in it. All quotes above about power and traps are spot on. Since it is an VIII and has mods, i would pull the fuel pump and check to see if it hasn't allready been upgraded. See if they will release the prvious owners name to you so you can gather more information about the car.

I saw the manifold and thought it was bigger turbo. Damn. Looks good though. HOpefully the cops are more "modified friendly" out by you.

Looks to me like a Megan manifold and O2 housing.
