Smile Lucky Me.

"Golgo" was the one who posted the quote and brought this thread back to life and thanks to him and also lancershop for emailing me to let me know they just got them in. I've always been a big fan of how the '03 VIII's had that badge originally on the back and I wished Mitsubishi would have continued with that style..Oh well, I have my opportunity since I just ordered it yesterday afternoon. Thanks everyone for posting since this thread caught my eye again.

yeah i'm going to subscribe to lancershop to get one for mine too.
Can someone post up pics of theirs instaleed or pics of what the uk/jdm is supposed to look like so I can get it right, also post the MR badge where it's supposed to go.

I guess I heard that they came in either chrome or black lettering. I have a ww 9 I think it's supposed to be in chrome lettering.

Post up pics someone.

Thanks

I seriously hope for those people that ordered this item from Lancershop don't expect it to be the hardened plastic letters. This are flexible, vinyl letters that will bend when you snag them while washing your car. If this is what you wanted and you paid ~$80 instead of going through the link that I posted in an earlier post where they cost $55 shipped then have a great day.

Wink I got my badge in today.

After about an hour of trying to measure and place the badge on as perfect as possible, I finally got it on. So far it looks very nice. I ordered it from lancershop on July 2nd and it made it to my home on the 8th. The badge is not hard plastic. In fact it's a tad bit soft. I guess you could call it vinyl. It's on now and it looks very nice. I bought it for $81.99+shipping which came out to about $90.00 total. The price is a little too high, but it's worth it as long as the chrome doesn't wear off or the letters don't peel off. I have done everything possible to make sure it stays on. So far no regrets at all...But if any regrets come up in the furture, I will let everyone know. Thanks for everyone's help.

I'm terrible with doing projects like this, but I tried doing the VIII UK Badge and to my surprise it came out perfect. Measuring and using painters tape is an absolute must. I'll have to take a picture someday, but people been doing this for year. I don't think anyone will lose sleep without seeing a picture.

Lancershop does not sell the hardened plastic letters. If you bought that item from them under the auspices that they were hardened letters you have been duped.

That's the problem. When you are hand washing your car the sponge snags certain letters and bends them back. I have managed to put a bend in my "V" and one of my "I"s. Of course I am a lot more careful when washing that area but the damage has already been done.

I'm just trying to warn anybody that is looking at buying this item from Lancershop needs to know that they are buying the flimsy vinyl lettering not hardened plastic letters. Let the buyer beware.
