Replacing down pipe&muffler

Hi.

I have a 06 EVO IX MR. I would like to replace a down pipe and muffler which are APEX. I think it should be more bigger than now. What kinds of a exhaust system will be better to me? How much money?

Thanks.

You have Apexi already? If it is 3in it is good. Which Apexi do you have? N1, GT Spec, Noir?

PS - check out mievo.net

We have our big Lansing meet next weekend!

Megan has a great 3" downpipe and cat-back for reasonable prices. I am using that setup right now. You can get the DP and CBE on lancershop. The DP is about $170 and the exhaust is ~ $400.

that was the best route for me. $2,500 mortgage>expensive TBE.

+1

My Megan DP was $175, and my CBE was I think $425. Shipping included with both. It's a good combo, perfect fitment, sounds great!

The megan downpipe is fine, but i'd skip on the cat-back. too loud and ricey for me guys. Just buy a used TBE with a quality cat-back. its really the best route. The only new part in my TBE was a test pipe because I didn't want to wait to find a used one and it was only 70 bucks to my door.

For the price you pay with megan you can get a TBE from xo2racing on ebay, and sounds and looks a lot better. Just my two cents

Anyone makes a 3" intermediate pipe that follows stock piping and sold seperately.

I will sell the APEX's DP and muffler. I think that the DP and muffler should be bigger than now. My intake of my car gets enough air but the exhaust is not enough to release when I heard the exhaust sound.
