Help tranny drain plug

Help tranny drain plug

I stripped the threads inside the transmission for the drain plug. What can i do?

you should have used a socket wrench! what do youy mean retap the treads??

You mean torque wrench? You might be able to tap it to a bigger size and get a new drain plug. Otherwise, http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/cart/?pn=1200A020

That sucks, always a mistake I'm afraid of making myself.

Man how do you strip something like that? My advice pay someone else to do it the next time as it seems you would have a hard time walking and chewing bubble gum. BBY this goes for you also if you don't even know what tapping threads is.

About the only choices you have is a heli coil or drill it out to the next size and tap it after that. Don't try that yourself as you have already demonstrated a gigantic lack of knowledge just draining it.

Sorry to be so harsh but that is next to impossible to do it just amazes me that you were able to do it.

how did you manage to strip that? you would have to have put a different threaded bolt in there to do that...damn

gonna have to retap it now
