having problems with my idle dropping like crazy, an the car almost stalls if i leave the clutch in after gear changes, but the problem is only noticeable when i have my a/c on.
I have no clue, an can't find any1 else who has a clue. any1 know if its an issue with my a/c or my car needs tuning or what?

We need more information. What year is your Evo and what mods have you done to it?

it's a 2001 an the mods to the engine are:
filter, blitz exhaust system, greddy bov, hks 264/264 cams, coil radiator, intercooler.
an its currently untuned at the moment.... but im just confused as to whether a tune would fix it, or its more an a/c problem?

another thing i noticed is my idle drops when i switch the a/c on, instead of going up slightly to compensate the load?

i had this same prob about two months ago, the idle air controller had gone bad. try to find a used one, they are $400 new from the dealer. of course a tune may fix the problem too

k thanks alot man. an that could be the reason it dies with the a/c on only? because there is only a slight dip before it jumps back up with the a/c off... but i just guessed that was normal.
this is the one your talking about right? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=226377

It's just your mods man. You should _never_ have mods like that without a tune. Cams alter the vaccuum and make it very difficult for the ECU to compensate. There are 4 separate RPM settings in the ECU to regulate these things, and they don't change with mods, so you need to have them changed with a tune/reflash.
