The fact is, there have probably never been two cars that were so close in price and performance as the Evo and the STi. You can't go wrong with either one, IMHO...I chose the Evo, though.

Also, the EVO runs rich from the factory, where the STi pings on 91 gas. Throw in a $50 MBC to hold 18-19 psi to redline, and the EVO will take the STi both in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Yep, $50, that' it.
I do think the STi is a great car, but the EVO is the greatest!

Also theres a few things you can do to an M3. Theres some suspention mods, and ECU stuff, but they cost alot of $$$
It's so funny that he Evo almost always wins on the race track, but it loses the subjective tests. What do these people want? It is a $29,000 sports car, not a family sedan. They sound like the people on here complaining about the bumpy ride.
That is a good point about the Evo's stock state of tune. Do a little adjusting on pump gas and I'd love to see the test numbers against the STI.
