How I should ship parts?

I was wondering how people go about shipping parts. What company do you use? How do I save money?

Also wondering and how people ship parts like head, blocks, tranny, t-case and such.

thanks

It depends what you have available, I've used Fedex, UPS, USPS and some other small companies.
USPS is cheaper for smaller items, UPS beats fedex most of the time in pricing, and they both take larger items.
Fedex seems to be a little better in pricing for heavy/larger boxes
That is here in Arizona. Prices are subject to change from state to state though.

I ship just about everything through USPS. Great pricing, and super fast delivery every time.

still trying to figure that out too. I read a thread where you build a wood support top and bottom to brace it in a box. I guess I will try it for fun this weekend

I shipped an engine not to long ago. The engine was wired down to a crate so a fork lift can be used and DHL was the shipping company used.
