Guys, he was filling his car up while it was running... he fixed it, you can stop posting in the thread now to not put it in all the way - it has already been mentioned multiple times and the issue has been resovled.

 

My 2 cents, I manually pump more on the slower side. They only get those pumps regulated once every 2 years or so? When you have it on auto full blast you're most likely not getting exactly what you pay for. It's not that I'm cheap, I just hate scams which is exactly what those auto pumps are.

Big Mistake filling up while car is on..
Thats why there are big signs saying "NO Smoking" and "Turn OFF engine",
+ "Fill Gas Cans on the Ground".

Not only can you kill people with a static discharge, but it's a good way for someone to jack your car.

Back in the day, I have actually seen someone get ther car stolen while filling up.
Left the keys in it, car was not ON, guy walked by, saw the keys and hopped in,started it up and took off..
Found the car 3 days later burnt up in a dumpsite.
If you leave it running it makes it that much easier to blow stuff up, or carjacked.
Leave earlier, if you are in that much of a hurry. plz.

hm this happens offen when the gas station is low on gas...my .02

 

why do our evos have this problem? its getting annoying waiting for the gas to drizzle in!! Ever since i bouht this car i could never ever fill it up a full speed...i always have to hold half way for it to fill or it will pop off..

 

I remember the 1st time I went to put gas in my Evo IX...took FOREVER to fill now I jus dont put it all the way in and only hold the handle half way...takes longer but doesn't shut off on me nemore...
