Hi Guys -

I installed a Rostra in my car a while back using the how to on this forum. I need some help with two small things. I have everything in place besides the following:

- vss (how to says it is the wire on top of tranny)
- engine speed (how to says it is tapped from ecm behind glovebox)

I cannot find these wires. I would think that I was tapping into the correct ones and the cruise wouldn't work. Can someone tell me in a bit more detail exactly where these wires are (ie, pin location/picture even) and what color they are? Then hopefully my cruise will work.

I have posted this before but didn't receive any help.

Did it come with instructions or is there a write up on line?

 

There is a write up online and there are general instructions in the universal kit, but the questions I have are specific. The write up address the the questions, but I cannot find what they reference. There needed to be a bit more detail in it. I even sent the person who did the write up a few pm's but havent heard from him.

It lists the Vehicle Speed Sensor as pin 86. I think this is one of the wires you were looking for.
I'm not sure about the engine speed sensor. Maybe it's the same as the Tach Signal (or rpm signal) pin 58?
