What RPM are you shifting at? The car will bog if you shift early... I shift at about 75-7600 rpms.. and I shift fast lol.

Driving a Evo does take some getting used to. Especially when you shift while you're in the middle of the boost coming on, the car just doesn't feel ready to shift yet. Once you're in boost after 3,000 rpm, then the car just wants to be sucked in and doesn't want to be interupted.

umm, just because your car can handle being "launched" doesnt mean that you should. launching a car is never good for a clutch. save yourself $1k and dont launch it from a dead stop. much fun can be had from a rolling start, even if its a really slow moving start, just dont launch an AWD car from a dead stop, thats just retarded. the clutch is the weakest point from the flywheel all the way back to the wheels. and replacing a clutch is expensive. so drive responsibly... that is, unless you decide you want to stimulate the american economy by paying a local shop to swap your clutch out.

if your going to "launch it" get a better clutch than stock, if you dont, your just asking for trouble... and burnt asbestos

umm... not so true.. if you know how to drive you can make the stock clutch last.

my friend prolly has about 150 launches on the stock clutch on his IX MR

so learn to drive then try it

LOL

If you want to drag with the EVO, make sure you get tuned and get a 2 step programmed into it.

If you want to launch make sure you slip the clutch and not drop it.
