Trade in is not the way to go, if you have time try locally or even ebay

Around here if you could get 21 trade in for an 06 evo 9 then you'd be ripping off the dealership lol.

Got a 2006 Evo IX MR with only 7k miles on it, currently worth $27,290 private party hopefully it doesn't drop too fast

The car was sitting in a Mitsubishi's showroom floor since it was "the last WW Evo IX MR" that was not sold yet. The first owner (rich dude in Irvine, CA) bought it in 1/2008 and only drove it 3k miles until 11/2008 when I bought it from him. Drove it up to Oregon. Total Cost = $25k for a 06 Evo IX MR in Wicked White and very very low miles. I still can't believe the deal I got....

The price of "toys" has been in complete free fall since fall. It sucks. I was trying to sell my 04 Cobra last summer for 19,000 and had offers for 17,500 and didn't sell. Now I am listing it for 15,999.

Let us know what they offer you if you try going the trade in route. As others have mentioned, there seems to have been a huge drop in the last 4 months or so, its just not a good time to sell any type of sports car.

2006 IX SE, graphite grey
Purchased new in February 2007
COMPLETELY bone stock
~18,900 miles
Oil changes done at 1375, 3516, 7283, 9580, 11684, 15318 and 18750 miles
15k mile service done at 15318 miles
Garaged half the time
Frequently washed (approximately bi-weekly) and waxed (approximately bi-monthly)
Perfect/near perfect exterior

Its not just the trade-in prices that are low, dealers are selling 8's and 9's for ALOT less than they were ~4 months ago. Looking on cars.com at what they have at what price is kinda scary....
