in accident..what to fix?

hey guys

some dus##e bag backed into me and put a decent size dent in my fmic, cracked the front bumper a little, and the black plastic underneath(?undertray?) I only got $1700 from insurance. Car drives perfect, car is DD but wouldnt mind finally doing a few small things (stock as of now). If no plans for larger turbo(in near future anyways) should I replace a dented fmic? or would the $ be better suited somewhere else? sorry not real detailed. if more info would help please ask. my pockets on fire$

Post some pictures up of the damage then folks can chime in on what it needs. Hey its a perfect time to upgrade of if you dont want to theres lots of used stock parts here such as fmic's. GL

Edit: WOW you been a member for over 3 yrs and just did your first post?

I noticed that as well. How the hell does someone be a member for over three years and this is their first post?

Back on topic, I would first replace the parts that need replacing with upgraded models. For example get an ETS intercooler as opposed to the stock one. I wouldn't worry about replacing your undertray, but that's just me.

Why'd you only get $1700? Was that appraised by the insurance agent?

+1 on ETS kit...As for undertray, you could possibly had one for cheap on the forum's member buy&sell.

I know 1st post in ever! but like I said, all stock...until now

the $1700 ($2200 -$500 dedcutable) was from the insurance adjuster (who looked at the car for 2 minutes and didnt even take the bumper off so im sure theres more damage(i'd assume) they're being cool about it, just seems lazy

any way for me to eyeball or test for other damage myself regarding the pipes etc?
Ill take pix tonight and try to get them on asap!

thanks 4 the tips so far guys

any other suggestions welcome....such as other 1st step mods(i know i know search haha but since im getting new fmic wondering if that would affect your decision on mods) thanks again guys

Once you start modding you wont stop. Most important thing will be a tune if you get any aftermarket parts.

Just check your lower intercooler piping. It looks like he just nicked the bottom of the intercooler and the undertray. I would just leave the undertray off, get either another stock intercooler, or ETS, and then a new front bumper.

That sucks man! I would get a new lip since that is what looks like was cracked in the pictures unless it cracked the bumper as well. Then get a like everyone else said an ETS FMIC.

You could always get an APR Splitter, $300, that attaches to the front bumper. Looks sick as hell!
