I'd put cruise control on my bikes if it were practical... never understood these silly people thinking it's "wrong" to put CC on an Evo when "supercars" COME with the feature.

Some people are afraid that if the 'rawness' of the Evo IX is lessened their ***** will shrink.

It was awesome when i first started college and my GSX had CC and i would drive from Myrtle Beach to NJ every couple months to go home. Now i graduated and my evo doesn't have it, it kinda sucks when i drive 650 miles up to NJ with no CC. I've definitely thought about doing it a couple times, but never put the money together to do it, the money always ends up going to a performance mod instead of CC. Maybe one day my evo will finally have CC.

On the flip side, isn't that what it is all about? I've wanted to get the MR interior for my 03' GSR since they came out... but that doesn't make you accellerate, corner, or stop faster does it? So along with CC, it keeps getting put off

There's no need to bag on people wanting CC... it has it's uses. Esp for people like me who's foot settles at about 80 mph. It's always better to have CC police my speed than a ticket book... cause I DO NOT have the resolve to do it myself.

Did you have to Modify anything to install it "mister"? and how hard/long was the install? Did you notice any MPG loss or gain? It would be great if u can answer this as u seem to be the only one with CC who has posted.

I have had the Rostra unit installed for a year, have had no problems, and I love it. I have custom switches, don't care about mpg, but you can set it down to 20 mph, and i assume it couldn't hurt keeping throttle more constant.

I had to make a bracket to hold the cruise unit. I had to tap the ECU harness along with other wire taps. I used a wireless cruise control switch. I had to modify the throttle cable end. I had to modify/bend/cut a throttle cable bracket to hold the throttle from the supplied bracket.

I'm not going to lie it was a pain to install however I wanted a stock like install and I really took my time installing it. Gas mileage is of course better. Not 40mpg but a few mpg better.
