a couple days ago my right headlight stopped working. when i start my car the right headlight turns on for a second and then just flickers and shuts off. is the issue the bulb or the ballast? or is it something else? thanks.

 

sounds like a ballast to me. went through some what the same thing bought bulbs and it didnt help. I didnt have to money to buy new stock ballasts so I bought a uni kit and modded my headlights. it wasn't fun.

try switching the right and left bulbs. If that doesn't work then its your ballast.

 

It's probably your bulb. My right side headlight did the same thing. Changed the bulbs and no more problem.

 

if the ballast was the problem would it be covered under the warranty?

 

Stop being lazy and swap in the bulb and ballast from your other headlight and see which is the culprit. But it sounds like a ballast or connection issue to me.

 

well that side of the car DID get scraped in a hit and run accident. that bastard.

 

I have the same problem right now. its the ballast. Anyone has one pm me also...
