Yes it was dynoed at 330 whp and tuned by dtm not vishnu, sorry... If you want to see the dyno sheet u can search for it under (cleverusername) member and go through his threads. He posted the sheets this past May. This is the same car that I purchased from him several weeks ago.

Uh you are misinformed. There has only been one reported case of the turbos blowing on a 335i and if I remember correctly it was because the intake had something in it and sucked it into the turbos.

There are thousands of 335i's chipped and many starting to get into the 40k mile range without issues.

Is anyone else just completely sick of these kind of polls? 9 times out of 10 the original poster doesn't even come back to the thread to add another comment. They just leave their stupid thread up and unattended.

I think this forum should make a "Stupid Questions" area where these kinds of threads can be left to their own devices. It would be even sweeter to have a little number system right under your username that kept track of all the "stupid" that you spread. Build up enough stupid and you get banned.

This may help you
1. Looks its your opinion I like the 335
2. Track I think the evo
3. Stock vs stock 335
4. Modded the evo
5. Reliability and cost the evo
6. WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! How about you just test drive both and get the one you think is best. Remember your spending the 30k+ plus or the 50k+. One thing to think about is how long u will keep the car and what your using it for?

My buddy has a 135i, its a nice comfortable car with some power to back it up, but i would never pass up on a IX for one of them. Curious to see how the car reacts to modifications thou, hopefully he can do a few things and then see how it really stacks up.

My dad rocks the 335 and I got to say it is one dam good looking car. Driving wise, it is pretty quick and extremely smooth ride. I would definitely say it's much more refined then an evo, which is good or bad depending on your taste. If attracting women is an important part of the decision making process when buying a new car....get the 335 hands down. As for the driving experience, HANDS DOWN, absolutely no comparison the Evo is a much more fun car to drive.

I think the 135i would make for a better performance comparison.

^ 135i is a tiny RWD coupe, why would u, or anyone compare it to a bigger, AWD, 4 door sedan ?
even if performance is close, these 2 have nothing in common

whats next, u gonna compare the Evo to a go-kart ?

Actually I'm thinking he was referencing the price point of the car. How is the 335i any better of a comparison? Because it has 4 doors?

AWD vs RWD. Luxury vs Raw. Turbo 4 vs TT 6. European vs Japanese. $10k+ price difference. I could go on and on about how completely different the 335i and Evo 9 are. The only thing I think they have in common is 4 doors. Doesn't the 135i still have like 100lbs on the 9 MR??

Based on that info I would definitely say the 135i is a better comparison candidate considering price is usually a HUGE factor when it comes to comparison.

Haha, a go-kart eh? Actually if you look at the curb weight of the 135i (3285lbs) and the Evo IX (3263lbs) its easy to see why it is a fair comparison. When comparing cars, power, and weight are two of the most important things to consider. In my opinion, it DOES NOT matter which car has or hasn't got four doors. So to sum it up for you, the 135i and the Evo have these in common:

1.) curb weight
2.) power level
3.) price tag

Wow. Lots in common if you ask me. No I wouldn't compare the Evo to a go cart (lets say the Lotus Elise) but the 135i is definitely far from one.

i cant speak fort all, but I dont think i ever considered a car's curb weight when making a buying decision... and my wife and I went through a dozen cars in the last 10 years

usually price, and practicality/usefulness are the most important factors. like for example a guy in the north prolly wont get a convertible as his only car, or perhaps a family of 4 wouldnt get a 2 seater... you know, those kind of silly considerations...

so once again, not a lot of people will consider an Evo vs. 135i
However, plenty would consider an Evo v. 335i... I did!! and decided to get the Evo (both sedans, both AWD, both similar size, and similar monthly payment, but one much more fun, and much more rare on the street)...
