2026: What Did You Do To Your Evo Today?
finally did the sound deadener removal. Also pulled all the stuff from the underside of the carpet. I didn't take an after picture of the floor after I cleaned it up with 3M adhesive remover, but you get the idea.

oh and I couldn't find dry ice anywhere. People kept saying "oh, go to store X and they have it there I know for a fact" so I would go there and they didn't have any, and they would tell me "go over here to store X, I know they have it" and finally I said screw it. Hit it with a rubber dead blow hammer shown in the pics and it popped right off. I guess it helps that its actually 40*F outside

Any idea how much weight you saved by doing this?
I don't own a scale so I can't say, but the threads about weight savings say the tar sound deadener is 12lbs. I don't know how much the metal plates and crap under the carpet weighs though. My car is already loud which is why I did this mod, but hopefully it's not too unbearable now. I already get home from a cruise before with ringing ears haha
