2026: What Did You Do To Your Evo Today?
Thanks.... I know it isn't anything to look at compared to stock stuff or whole bottom skids, but it will keep the intercooler a bit safer than nothing there. I snagged the edge of the last intercooler I had and smashed the heck out of it. I'd rather not do that again.
It isn't anything most people would be able to use though, as it bolts to a steel lip on the bumper (built that for a similar reason, put threaded holes in it just in case I decided to do this later).

I would just like to say I recently purchased the brake package for the Evos from Map Performance, 4 rotors, 4 SS lines, Motul fluid, and I upgraded the pads that were supposed to come with it to the Ferodos. This kit all in all cost me about $530 or so. Well anyway, my buddy and I put everything on, and shortly after I took the car to Autocross. After the event I noticed my steering wheel shaking violently whenever I would go to apply the brakes. We cut my old rotors on a laithe, and 2 days ago threw just the front two old ones back on. Wouldn't you know it, the shakyness went away completely! I had suspected other issues may be the culprit, but nope, warped rotors. Brand new ones too.
What did I learn? The rotors that come in the Map Performance Evo brake bundle won't hold up in Autocross without needing to be turned afterwards. Haha...you live you learn. Now to research and find out who makes rotors that WILL

Finally got evo up and running after being down since Feb 28th ( got it back saturday morning in time for MOD) now with 750 miles on my break in another 250 more to go till i can actually drive it .
I also ordered a valve cover coated in anodized blue. This blue most closely resembles the color blue TiAL uses on their blue BOV, which I plan to order in the coming months. My overall plan is going to be to have all my piping (hot and cold sides) coated high temp black and then get rid of my HKS BOV and switch to a blue TiAL (better looking and better quality) along with the valve cover.
