heading to the track tomorrow

tita=le says it all, thinking about a 5k to 6 k launch since i have an 05 with the 2-step how much of a rick of breaking something am i looking at here, i want a good time but don't want to blow up th etc or tranny it is a 5 spd fyi

well no track did soem practice launchyes and not sure if it was the take off but it blew a plug off the water pump so it is at dealership now, not sure why it'd pop off like that though any input they say i need a new water pump

slipping = letting it out slowly
dropping/dumping = pretty much just taking your foot off and letting it come up as fast as it can.

slipping can be just as bad as dropping, if done wrong. I like to slip it until I feel the transmission is preloaded (right on the verge of moving) and then kind of dump it... I've only made 4 passes in the Evo, and the best 60' I could click of was a 1.8... so YMMV.

Getting a new clutch this week, so my launching style will probably change.
