the responsible thing i would say would be to invest, pay off the car and any other debt, and then spend a little on your car. but seeing as how this isnt what I would do, nor you otherwise you wouldnt have posted this question on an evo forum. if your in the military first let me start off by saying thank you for your service, and im sure your already aware of you options outside of the car. since your already getting a built block, def look into a built trans and transfer case so they dont blow. slap a twinscroll gt35/37 on there, add a little style and your good to go. im also going to say a roll cage and harnesses bc thats what i want at the moment. any ideas on what the car will be used for most? gl on the build and thanks again

I used to be military and im going to have to say save half and spend the rest on what u want. You have bills in military but they really dont scratch your pay check if you dont have that many. Hell I was a e-5 with 5years in and made 3200 a month (married) and always had about 1900 left after paying all my bills.

Your going to be in there for awhile. Baby you evo and give her some good parts and save the rest for emergencies like if something goes wrong with her.

Depending on where you're located, but take a buddy or two and go to the track. Not sure if Track Daze has any upcoming events near where you live. But honestly, its one of the best investments you can spend on your car. LEARNING how to drive it.

Dude, if you don't have 3 months worth of salary saved, then put that away. That's your rainy day money. Then after that, pay toward your car or start saving for a house.

Don't blow your reenlistment money. It's not that much, and it's a great way for you to learn to not "spend it if you got it."

he only has 6 payments left! if you have money to burn then burn it! If you died next year you would surely regret it! As long as you have a solid 5 grand to yourself at all times then who cares.... spend it on whateevvverrr you want. There is no smart choice here. Either enjoy the money or leave it to rot. Everyone is just telling u to save it cause they all use credit cards for mods and it put them in debt... something I will NEVER do. When I come into more money then I have now, I balance it out and spend it all on mods and icetime.. all things that make me happy :-) you can build your car then when your bored, part it out and there you go! you wont have all the money back but youll have a good chunk for sure!

(sorry for all the typos and what not... im in a major rush to get to school lolol)

here is what you do...go to vegas...put it all on one spin of roullete or one hand of blackjack...double it up and then spend half on the car and then pay off the car with the other half and save the rest.

There a bit of room for everything, including Vegas, strippers, EVO upgrades, investing and pay off some dept. Keep everyone happy.
