I have a Evo VIII and was wanting to get rid of the Carbon Fiber wing that is currently on it. I was wondering if anyone knew if a trunk lid from 03 Lancer would fit??? I like the stock wing but mine is not OEM and the paint looks like *** on it and not to mention mine is rickity! I would posibly be interested in a OEM Mitsu wing if anyone knows of used one in good shape?

 

I recall reading somewhere on here that the 03-04 EVO/lancer trunks were interchangeable but I am not 100% sure.

Yes, the oz rally trunk will fit. Any trunk from an 02 or 03 will fit. Are you looking for one. I have a red 03 oz rally and I"m looking for a trunk with the evo wing. Trade ya.

I have been wanting to go wingless for a while now as well and am worried that soon the wingless OZ/Base model trunks without a wing will be more on the used market than the Evo CF winged ones. That is exactly what happened with the WRX/STI. Big wingless rush and no one with a winged trunk could get rid of it. The whole community ended up with plugged up trunk lids using various sorts of solutions.

I wouldn't mind trading my oz lid with low wing for a evo winged trunk lid. Personally, I don't like trunks with no wing. I couldn't stand it on my 01 mirage.

I found a junk yard that has one and its even red. They are asking $250 for it but I just havent seen it yet. I really like the car wingless. Makes it look less "ricey." Juan I am looking to go wingless or we would have a deal. Thanks for the info guys.

 

That's too much imo. Its about that price new unpainted. Bring them down.
