Yes you can take the lip off and i dont understand y these people are trying to convince you that you should be fine... Its not their car its yours.. and i also pull my lip off in the winter..

You need to take the bumper off and its alot easier to take of.. its a bout 8-10 screws holding it on.. GL

I understand having AWD is a huge plus for those of us that have harsh winters...however, if the roads your driving on have that much snow on them you probably shouldn't be driving on them anyway.
Why?

You guys suggesting to raise the coilover height do realize it's not just as easy as raising the coilovers.. Every time you do this an alignment is recommended.

no need to pull the SE lip off, as long as you have the undertray installed the lip is VERY secure. I've hit cones AX'ing @ 50mph and did no damage. besides, it looks like crap w/o the lip installed.

EVO's are built to drive in the winter. if the snow is soft enough you will PUSH it with the bumper, not a big deal. I've driven my EVO in almost a foot of snow before with no problems. its only snow and you aren't traveling fast in it. you think thats bad try sticking your hand out the window on the highway and see how that feels. if its harder snow then your tires will pack it down and you'll be riding on snow so your ride height will be higher.

either way its not something to worry about. just make sure you have a good set of snows on there. I have Blizzack WS-50's and the EVO is a tank in the winter. AWDFTW
