Jeezus christ, the interior is basically the same! If your a normal Joe your not going to be able to tell the difference nor should it be a deciding factor on wether or not to buy the IX.

Both interiors look like garbage. Get what you feel is the best option.

One down side for some is the IX seats are wider then the VIII seats. They don't support us smaller (under 200 lb ) guys as well. Personally I have SSL seats in my 8 while leather is not my thing.. it does support me better then the fat boy 9 seats.

Which is why we are enthusiasts on an enthusiast site. We know the difference between interiors and can appreciate one over the other. And to enthusiasts, the interior can be just as important as the exterior. Maybe you're not much of an enthusiast?

i have an 03 bby so the blue recaros match pretty well. i like em...... i probably would have boughten a 9 if they were out when i was buyin a car but i got my 8 in '04.... don't regret it at all though. I've been stealing the parts i like better off the 9 and putting em on my car... next is the front bumper

and i'm curious as to how much more power the 9s make as a result of the bigger turbo or the mivec.....

The IX interior is really nice for an EVO. Easy to clean. No rattles, squeaks, or quarks at all. Even after taking dash apart for some wire running, there is no squeaks. I am definitely glad I go the IX.

Just my .02

Again, I've owned both cars. Both interiors suck and both are 99% identical. This thread should be closed.
