Haven't read entire thread, so this might be redundant, but I really like the momo aluminum shift knob. Just can't justify $80 on a part that doesn't make me faster :P

I have the Razo 340g Onyx shift knob. Its really heavy and looks pretty good. It can get a lil scratched and knicked over time though. Its only like $40 though compared to some of these $100+.
