Sunroof FREAKED out!

It was a rather nice afternoon yesterday, so I decided to crack my sunroof a bit (something I hadn't done in about a month).

When I went to close it, it simply would not go any further forward than it was. I'd open it a bit more, which worked fine, but it wouldn't go back forward. I stopped to see if there were an obstructions (there weren't) and, eventually I got it to move forward a little bit by pulling it when it seemed to get stuck. It freed, went all the way forward, then tried to angle the back up for "vent" mode. Well, only the driver's side angled up, the passengers side stayed down, and I couldn't get it to go all the way up.

The consequence of all of this, is that the motor was constantly running trying to raise the passenger's side, and the motor kept running for a couple minutes until I could pull over. I banged on the sunroof to get it open, but no dice. Even with the car OFF, the motor kept running, so I frantically had to locate and remove the fuse!!

Has anyone ever had this happen? If so, what happened? Bad relay or switch or something? Did you get it covered under warranty? How was it fixed?

Car is lightly modded, and should be still under warranty (2005 with 50k on it)... but if it isn't, I'm looking for suggestions.

There was no visible obstruction or distortion on any of the guide rails..

Ended up going to Max Madsen because it is between my house and work. In and out in about an hour, even though I'm modded to the moon

9k left on the warranty... hope anything that is planning on breaking decides to do so soon!
