Quick Question
he is correct. it will work for about 2-3 seconds before the immobilizer shuts the car down. do what i did, put it in the car at the dealership and have them program all of your keys - not just the one you always use.
hmmmm...
firstly i am in Trinidad so no dealerships!
i have my old Rom, do i just flash over the existing rom on the new ECU??
BTW, will this stop my car from starting (the different ECU)?
i will post both roms from my ECUs a little later for some help if it does not work!
Thanks in advance guys.

Immobilizer is the key.
the reason all this started is cause i am trying to start my car, but no luck.
the car wont start and its throwing a code about the MAF sensor! i just wanna make sure the 'changed ECU' is not causing the problem.
the electrician advised that the MAF is damaged (lucky me dropped it).
well even if it was the ECU it would at leat start then die a couple seconds after
witch means its prolly not your ECU thats causing it not to start

Anyone selling one? i need to get access to the 'For Sale' Forums.
Ok, so there is no immobo then you're going to have a lock smith program it for you. If there is a code about the maf then the maf is faulty. TRy cranking with the maf disconnected.

i think i need a new MAF right???
where can i get one ASAP?
check the forsale threads. I see maf's for sale daily.
I just realized that the new ecu doesn't need it's own immobilzer. You're using your original immobilizer from your original ecu. You connect to the new ecu and flash your rom from your old ecu...now if you don't even have that saved to a computer then you're screwed. Why do you need a new ecu?
