my antenna broke
My antenna somehow broke off at the car wash yesterday, I don't know how. Maybe due to the cold weather, but the bolt is now stuck in the screw hole and there is no way i can unscrew it out. Now my radio constantly has static, Is there anyway I can take that piece out the hole?
Is there enough of the bolt left where you can use a small drill and drill a hole in it? You can go to any hardware store and get an easy out. Once you drill the hole, you put the easy out in it and screw it out.
It would be similar to this:

Don't they have warnings about antenna when you take your Evo for a wash? Anyways, I took mine a couple times and it's fine but that's in the summer
I usually wash it myself during the winter. Good Luck

Same way you get a light bulb out of its base when its broken off down low - take a potato, push it against the part (like the sharp glass in the bulb) and turn it like you normally would - usually works awesome for a lightbulb, maybe it'll work for the antenna.

Drill it and use an easy out as mentioned above. If you have never done it before, take it some where so you do not make it worse. GL
EDIT: Reading post dates ownz me.
drilling it is possible to get it out but another method i've seen work is to glue another piece to it then turn. antennas arent torqued high so it should work. scuff the broken surface and clean it so its ready for superglue to adhere. then stick a small metal tab to it, let it sit overnight. carefully turn next day and i bet it will come out.
What mifesto said. My sister's biss screw was stripped out on her old 93 galant so I put a few drops of super glue on a screwdriver and rested it against the top of the screw. After holding it so it sit on straight for about a minute it was stuck good so I was able to slowly unscrew it
Good call mifesto
