* microtech ltx-10 computer
* intercooler
* walbro 500hp fuel pump
* forged pistons but not rods

it got a very basic tune on 11psi for 205hp (he said i needed to learn how it handeld fair enough)

but i didnt buy this engine for small mods and ive talked to my mechanic and he said the next step would be to get

*sard 800-1000cc fuel injectors
* fuel regulator
* surge tank

he believes if i do this ill be able to then run 20psi

but i want to know what you guys think since this is a forum for evos and the mechnic does all performace imports i think u guys would know more. so my question is is this the best way to go? is there anything i should do first? should i strengthen anything wat do i do?. please help guys

Ok, first of all, running 11 psi ??????? I'm running my stock 8 at around 22 - 24 psi, no problem. my advice, change your tuner, you can easily run 20 psi on a evo 6 engine, ( at least 18 - 20 )

The tuner didnt set it for 11psi cuz thats all the motor would handle, he set it there so the driver could get a feel for the increase in power. However, if the motor came with the stock injectors, it should be able to run stock boost (not sure if diff model evos came with diff boost levels.) Your wideband will let you know when you are running out of fuel. Ive never heard of anyone running a surge tank at 300hp ish level.

It is pretty essential for anyone running boost with a tune or an aftermarket turbo. It tells your AFR ratio (air to fuel)

I did a search for you and another evom member by the name of racetek1 posted that an TME (tommi makinen edition) boosts @ 1.29 bar or 19 PSI and an EVO 6 boosts @ 1.08 bar or 16 PSI

Here is where i found it, hope this helps
