www.winterdrive.com and the courses here even have large elevation changes, making it even more fun. Once you have taken a course, track rentals are available, and you're welcome to use your own car.

Finding a course like that nearby would take up my entire life. I was checking out that last website posted and that course seems amazing.

LOL, I don't think you'd ever 'stumble across' a place like that, as it literally takes hundreds and hundreds of hours to put the tracks together. Temps also need to stay consistantly cold, so if you're from NJ, to find something on the east coast, you'd need to head north for quite a while to find the right weather.

If anyone decides to make their way out to Steamboat, please be sure to say hi!

I drove both as well, and I think the Evo 9 with the ACD worked very well in the snow mode, basically you could not get the rear end to kick out, I had to move to tarmac to even get it to kick out. The Subie DCCD was nice as you can balance it out to your driving style instead of a set mode on the Evo, but I preferred the Evo in the snow, car felt more confident in where it was going.

nice If I were a bit closer I would definitely go to that. I went to a few ice races in WI and it was a blast, its funny how the snow tires work so well on the street on an AWD car but on ice it makes little difference... the studded tires were insane, infact I remember seeing an Evo 5 from TAD tearing it up on the ice and thats why I bought an Evo
