evo 9 mr vs c6

Every car has there weaknesses and strengths. Every time you buy a new/used vehicle, you learn from what was wrong with the car or what you didn't like about it. There is no perfect car, and there will always be faults with certain makes and certain models. All you can do is enjoy the car that you currently have and try to stick with it for as long as you can. The 6 speed may be a little weaker than the 5 speed, but I bet the 5 speed has its faults also. My advice is to enjoy the Evo for what it is, no matter what model it is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- ***And to give my opinion to this thread's true purpose, I would buy a brand new car just in case you're considering buying a used one... So that leaves the Evo IX MR out of the mix. I would go for something more practical than the C6 though. All the best!!!
been there and done that. Only if you get the LS3 vette or the Z06 I will recommend the vette . Not that the LS2 is a bad engine on the ette at all but I take a Evo 9 MR over the LS2 vette.
There has been a lot of argument about handling and all that, the Evo 9 MR and any Evo have a very direct steering response and the driver feels that right of way but all I can say is look at the numbers, the LS3 with Z51 package pulled almost 1g(.99) and did excellent in many other areas(acceleration, braking, slalom, etc).
Two different cars, go and drive both, if you were close by I would give you a ride (I give rides to just about anyone on any of my cars), I even let my friends drive my cars as well.
Do your numbers, for up to $35000 the Evo for the win, for $45000 the LS3 vette is the best bang for the buck (too much to offer).

Thats my plan!
My dad has an auto LS3 Vette (2008). 6 Speed automatic...nice car pretty quick and the down shifting is cool cause it blips the gas. Its not near as fast as my IX was to 100ish MPH, but the Vette rolled out on the topend.

I have an IX MR - I personally would love to have a vette (zo6).... but where I live the snow makes a vette basically useless 1/3 of the year.
If you are even thinking about a vette vs. evo - Dont go with anything less than a z06.

well I have to say the c6 is a sweet car, what about insurance have you weighed both options. They both require mobile 1 so you will save no money on maint. But the c6 is what 430 hp compared to the evo and its naturally aspirated. Well I love my ix thats all I can say. Vettes are nice but they only have 2 seats. They are just a little to impractical for me. stick with the
it will do you right....

As far as practicality though, Evo hands down. The vette can be driven in snow, when I brought mine home the roads were snow covered. It's far from good in the snow though. Four doors is also a great thing to have especially if you ever plan to have more than one passenger in your car.
