4pt Harness Mounting Help?
Hey, just wondering where you mounted the inside of your 4pt harness, (the part that goes across your lap). I'm guessing many people mounted it to where the stock seatbelt is (where you click it into place/undo it everytime..). If so, do you have any pictures of it?
Also, if you have a harness bar, show some pictures of that too.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Seat belt points for the lap part and the 4pt I have (Schroth 4pt) mounts through and connects to the rear child safety bolt behind the driver.
Do read up on using a harness without a roll cage - its user beware.

A child weight is under a fifty pound, why would you use their set up for an adult?

I could have sworn that Schroth had it mounted there. I will re-read my instructions and find a new mounting point or brace that point.
Thanks guys

I would used a harness bar or roll cage. I've seen a few crashes with the car being gone but the harness bar still look new. Also I've always liked the look of the harness bar

It has a weird mount on the end, like this one.
theres a special way of looping the harness around a harness bar that creates a lopp where if you pull it from the front it tightens on the bar ill see if i got pictures of mine, thats the only way to do it with a harness bar, and the proper mounting locations fro the front lap belts is nto to the seat belt bolts but to replace the factory bolts holding the back of the seat to the floor with eyeloop bolts, mine came with my harness (takata)
edit found them here ya go

hope that helps

You would need a belt like this one http://english.schroth.com/racing/pr...id=68&id_kat1= because you can wrap the belt around the bar and it comes with the proper hardware to make it secure.
Here is an example of an installed belt:

All this information is out there already, just do some searching like someone already suggested.
dude, did you not just see my post?
i pretty much took the hard part of doing a little searching out of the equation for you, i even made sure i took close ups of how i did it so that you dont have to try it a billion times to get it right like i had too
you dont need any special harness, my takatas are designed to go to the back seat bolts, i wanted people to be able to sit in the back since i daily my car as well as track it
the metal piece designed to keep the belt tight when you adjust it is the key, it still keeps the belt tight just not tight to the other end of the belt but instead to the bar the original end is wrapped around
