I love my MR, it hasn't gave me any problem since I got it. Sometimes I drive it hard also. I'm at 50k and its my DD.

No regrets here. The SE wasn't out when I got mine so there was no debate for me. I wanted the alum roof, etc. I love the MR BBS wheels, and I wanted a 6 speed and the bilsteins (had them for 25k before getting the Ohlins), plus Graphite Grey was the only color for me.
No issues with the trans, I may install a trans fluid cooler if I start road racing, but no problems from hard driving and autox.
Only possible regret is impatience, as I paid full sticker because I got it the 2nd week the IX's were out...

Sometimes I worry about the 6-speed, yeah, but I don't regret it. The MR was out of my price range when I got the car anyway. Went into the dealership expecting to leave in a new WW GSR. They had SE's by that stage but I knew I wanted WW (still do), so that wasn't going to happen. As luck (I like to call it fate ) would have it, though, the dealership got a WW MR with 3000 miles on the clock in the very next day and were willing to give it to me for less than a new GSR. The previous owner bought it, took care of the instant depreciation, and left it for me practically with the plastic still on the seats.

No regrets.

MR SE is still a 6 speed...the SE is a 5.

Im just wondering... I have an MR and for some odd reason its always in the back of my head.. Why didnt i get a GSR.. I guess the whole tranny issue bothers me a little bit. But than again its not that big of an issue lol..

Let me know..

P.S. sorry about the title..
I don't regret my IX MR SE....But if I had a second chance, I would've bought a brand new Wicked White IX RS.......Or maybe a TB IX GSR SE. I don't have any tranny problems with my 6 speed, but it was not worth me spending the extra money for the MR.

Had both a 5-speed and 6-speed Evo. I love the 6-speed.

Coming from an 04 STi, I definitly miss having a six speed on the highway. But since I'm at school most of the time, I'm really happy with the GSR's 5 Speed.

Good thread. For all of you that seem to be weary of the MR resentment, are you factoring in ACD problems?
