I got tired of burning my hand on the MR knob so I switched to the RalliArt knob. Much nicer ... not too hot, not too cold. It does sit a little higher though.

My knob has a tiiiny little allenhead towards the bottom that you have to loosen. Once you do that it unscrews pretty easy.

i think i have the MR knob in mine too lol, i cant see puttin a sock on it tho, i use a black stretchy glove, works like a champ.
