My TC was toast at 17k miles on my VIII due to incorrect fluid back in 05. You can have the fluid tested by blackstone labs or similar company to be sure. Or give it back and buy that guys GSR for 11k in the other thread!

x2

I got my evo at 11k, 99% high way miles my TC blew at 27k, I got a sheptrans to deal with the reliability issue, but no telling what else may need to be replaced in the near future.

Get a 335.

....jeez I must of been sleeping....rear diff? that doesn't seem normal, or even 'normal' normal to blow.

idk mann, i'd still take it back, because you're already having trouble with the car, and you don't even really own it yet, what does that tell ya?!?!? good luck if you keep it cuz no one knows whats gunna go next and when
i say bring it back, get youre audi back, sell youre audi privately, and buy an evo off of a place like this forum, cuz at keast you'll know it was taken care of, in most cases

and besides, you said it had warranty, but then you said only for 2 months, which isn't all that much left, so there's not much point to keeping it

I really dont think you should get rid of it. Everybody knows what problems these cars are known for... People obviously dont buy an Evo for Sunday driving lol. Just my 2 cents

The TC case sometimes is just bad, I had a bad one from the factory and then Mitsu replaced it with a new one. I love my car and really why send it back? it should be fine really, look over it well to see if you find anything else but really I am sure you could see somewhere if it was not taken care of well at all.
