bad economy = sell the evo??
as all of you know, the economy has been getting worse and worse...
has this caused anyone to sell or think of selling your evos? i'm almost on the chopping block at my job, something i never thought would happen. but selling my evo hasnt even crossed my mind! im sure makin the 500/month payments may get tough but id rather cut back on other expenses than sell "jenny" .
this is a s*itty topic to talk about but i thought id get some feedback on how my fellow evo enthusiast felt...
luv

If you still have a job and your not forced nto taking a paycut then what reason do you have for selling?
Don't worry about it till it needs worried about - that is my mentality.
btw.....you named your car?

I almost did it. Kept going back and forth about it for couple of months. And did decide to sell it, had plans on how to do it (and believe me, my evo is not just random evo). For me to sell my evo = to sell my kidney.
Then I got a letter from IRS that they want to audit me based on 2006 taxes, that's when I said enough is enough, too much crap pouring down on me, so I decided - screw everyone, I won't sell it for sure.
Whatever happens....

Lets think about it, either way you will have a car payment.....
So if you are upside down on your loan and go to a cheaper car, your going to end up nearly paying the same thing for a car you could care less about.
My buddy sold his STI to get out of some debt, its only been a few months and he is looking to get a evo X....
Its not worth getting rid of it especially if you have paid off or you are used to the payment. it makes me work harder to know that I have bills to pay and if I have to get another part time job to pay for something, ill do it! better to work your a$$ off now while we are young and enjoy the later years life.

OK the economy IS that bad, I have no idea where you are waiting for it to go..........but selling your evo because of it really does not compute. The prices of evos have dropped significantly, especially in the midwest region almost $2000 at base just because of the market dive. To sell now would produce no benefit. You would be best waiting till the upswing, if you can handle the payments...that is unless you go upside down on the loan because the price of the car has dropped significantly passed the loan amount total, in THAT case, ditch it and buy a kia....... sounds like it might be a ticking time bomb anyways.....just my .02
oh and there is no way in hell I'm ditching my car, I love it!
