Check your policy provisions for collision coverage before you fix your car. Also check your state's insurance code on whether a hit and run loss is chargeable against you.

In the state of ca, we have comparative negligence in which an insured must be 51% at fault before a loss can be charged and your premiums raised. Every state has differing insurance codes so check them out. In ca it would be a non chargeable loss.

You will probably be out of your deductible since there was no id on the other party, but check your policy provisions to see what is binding for a claim.

uhh... i unno how it works out there but check into this:
uninsured motorist claim (claim it with the police, then tell your inusrance company)
it "shouldn't" make your rate go up and the coverage should be based off your collision deductible if i remember correctly but DEFINITELY report it to the police..

Thanks guys,

total damage to be repaired is $4800 + the price of a used or new fender and door.

Im not going to claim this. Sad part is my evo only has 9600 miles on it! Im full building it for road race / time attack.

It has a Jackson 2.3L Stg 3 block and head
AFI Twinscroll 35R
and much more still being worked on, then this happens on one of the few nights I actually drive my baby.

Evan this kills me. It gets me so bummed out when bad things keep happening to really good people. Cant have the fastest evo in town all jacked we'll get her all dialed in and good as new. For everyones info evan gives those around him the shirt off his back literally you can ask my daughter. We were at SIR our drag strip it was freezing he let my 4 year old daughter wear his sweatshirt. Great guy great family and by the way *****en rs evo too.
