I had a car hit mine in the parking lot of my apartment complex and then take off. My insurance filed it under comprehensive and it was at a reduced deductible and my rates were not affected since obviously it was not my fault. Contact the insurance company without giving them your name or policy number just to ask them a few questions, or just clarify that you are not filing a claim at this point just have some questions.

Yes the was no cameras around. No I didnt file a police report, one because I didnt have a ID on the car. Two it didnt happen on public streets. Three cops here dont care about hit and runs, just druggies.
If I claim it, My rates will either double, or my insurance company will drop me. Over a 3 year period that could mean over 10k easy, it will just be more easy just to pay out of pocket.

If that were Roy D. Mercer's Evo, he'd have a pine box full of whoop *** waiting for that inconsiderate *****. I would rain all that is evil upon whomever ran into my car like that. It boggles my mind why someone would be going that fast in a crowded parking lot, and hitting a white parked car to boot. Wow...

Oh we went out looking for anything or one that could have done it. Chances are they where drunk and saw a bunch of Evo's and nice cars in the parking lot and decided to show off! I hate how every "big" truck thinks that if they pipe on me Ill race them!
