Defi guage help/question

I have a ix mr and it has those stock gauges that look cheap. Im changine them to Defi DF's but I was wondering if Defi makes gauges that read exactly the same as the stock ones. Could you guys help by telling me what I need and im locating them to the a pilar and wheel so Ive got pods. I believe I need the controller and possibly the stock gauge wiring plugs right into that? IDK please help thanks

I'm a little confused about your questions. Try to rephrase them. It depends on what kind of Defi's you got. The Imperial's read in PSI and the Standard ones read in bars (like your stock gauges). You will need a Controller for the BF's and I believe you can't use stock wiring for Defi's.

Hope this helps.

I have Defi Bfs in Amber 60mm. I love them to death. they are really accurate, the stock gauges on my mr was off a little bit. But with the defi bfs its pin point accurate. The only downside is the oil pressure gauge. when you turn off the car and or just have your keys in the warning siren goes off for low pressure and its anoyying as hell

the oil pressure gauge will require a new sensor to be installed...oem one won't work

getting a volts gauge is kinda pointless imo

and the boost gaueg you can tap the line right from the cabin at the current oem gauge location

I had the same problem. Have the Oil Pres/Temp and Boost installed in the lower cubby. Got annoyed with the siren so I installed a switch on the side of the gauge cluster that kills the power to the control unit so I can turn it off as needed. Helps when I get pulled over and entering the gates on base.

So how exactly did you install the switch? Between the guages and control unit or control unit to car? which wires did you make a switch for? All of the or just the ground because theres 5 wires.

defi issues

I love my Defi gauges also but the alarm is annoying. I don't mind it when I turn the key off and it sounds because I'm getting out of the car anyways, but the annoying thing is that I have to reset the minimum on the oil pressure and max on the boost every time I get in the car or at idle the alarm goes off and then at 15+ lbs of boost it goes off also... any one have this same issue? I thought there was a way to program my settings to memory and did what the manual said to do by holding in the minimum button or whatever on the very left of the control box for 5 seconds once my desired amounts are set but that did not save any info???

your problem is probably you are not tapping the power to a constant source.
Try tapping to the radio or accessory power.
when you turn off your car, your control unit is shutting off completely so not saving the saved points.

Put the switch between the Accessory Power and the Control Unit. Dont put it on the Constant Power or you will loose your settings every time you turn off the car.

So the red wire is basically just a battery backup so to speak and allows the control unit to store memory?... I just got an ohm/volt meter so i'll connect it to one of the sources you mentioned which should do the trick, and hopefully keep the box lit at night also
