sti vs evo rally

If you cant treat people respectfully here then you don't belong on a forum geared toward civilized adult conversation that focuses on all of our love for cars. Its not ALL about evos. There are other cars just as good as or better than the evo. THEY EXIST.
again, ams, a top evo tuner disagrees with you. Buschur, another top evo tuner, disagrees with you. What more do you want, mitsubishi itself saying the sti has good potential?
The 4g63 has been around for more than a decade, of course there are going to be tuners working on it and more high hp cars floating around. The same can be said of the supra, the skyline, the ae86, etc., all are relatively old cars and have a huge gathering. The ej257 didn't come around until the st made the jump to na so it hasn't had time to acquire the following yet. However, as i have shown you (or rather as ams has shown you), this idea that it doesn't respond well to mods or that it's ridiculously expensive to mod is ludicrous.

I went to a few rallies and saw way more Subarus than Evos, both in the events and in the parking lots. Subaru sponsors the events, why would their cars not be used anymore? Subaru even offers a racing rewards program here, if you rank in the top 10 I believe they give you money.

If i bought an STI, i would have to make it FMIC and get a normal hood. The hood scoop annoys the hell out of me, but that's about it. I actually like that car all around, i just like the look of the Evo a bit more.
It honestly came down to looks when i was deciding what i wanted to look for buying a car. I knew i could mod either pretty easily.

Oh I know that, it seems like every time someone mentions the word STI, all the old and tired arguments come out (they don't make power, they blow up, they suck at the track, they have a crappy drivetrain, the engine is weak, etc) but every once in a while, I get tired of the ****ty remarks and at least try to correct them.
