I need a new drivers side mirror for my white evo 8, can someone let me know if the 9 mirror matches up? or if I need an 8 mirror.

are asking about color match or fitment match? aren't there 2 different whites?

 

Mirrors are the same.. paint, however are not!

 

Well, names changed. Paint codes did not.

IX is Scotia White (W37) CMW10037
VIII is Wicked White (W37) CMW10037

Wicked white and weightless white are definitely not the same color. I had set of aftermarket mirrors that were painted wicked white and they do not match perfectly with my 04 weightless white. I traded it to my brother in law and the mirrors matched his Scotia/Wicked white, on his evo 9 MR, much closer than my car.

Paint codes may be the same, but there is a difference, just FYI. If that doesn't bother you, then you should not have any other problems, if you just want the mirrors to work, cause they will be plug-n-play between the evo 8 and 9's.
