front windshield?
I know back in the day like 03-04 my buddy got his bby windshield smashed by some kids.. and it was like 600-700 for the oem one.. thank god for his insurance ****ty you have to claim damage to your car by punks..
I have had mine repaired 4 times now but never replaced. The key is to catch it before it starts spreading. They drill it out and fill it. This won't help you know but for the future it might.
Also I have heard to replace it with windshield from a regular lancer. It weighs a little more but is less lightly to chip and crack so easily.

Even if you do have to pay for it, nobody charges more than $50 and you can get a kit and do it yourself as many times as you want for not much more
