Well today I was going to do oil changes on both my wifes car, and the evo.. So I go into the store, and they newly remodeled it which was a good change. So after finding the oil, I locate the normal Mobil 1 Super Synthetic 10w-30 (gold cap) I use and glance at the price of 6.49 a quart, not to bad. But I decide to look for one of the big 5 quart jugs since it sometimes works out to be a better buy, and so I don't have to carry all 5 quarts for mine, then another for the wifes plus filters.. So the side I was on had a limited selection of cases/jugs so I just went to the other isle to see what was on the other side...
Well, when I turned the corner but what do I see.. AMS oil?? At a MURRYS DISCOUNT AUTO????? and I look at the price $4.99 a quart!!!! And I'm thinking "F" the Mobil 1 So I continue to look out of curiousity and I see AMS oil ATF fluid.. AMS oil 10w & 5w-30 all fully stocked!! At a MURRYS DISCOUNT AUTO for crying out loud.. I couldn't believe it, so I picked up my 5 quarts I needed.. I was going to stock up.. but decided not to cause I have other bills to pay and the wife would kill me for spending a bunch of money on "just oil and filters". Cause she doesn't know the difference all she looks at is the price and thats it... so that's why I walked over and picked up the cheapy pennzoil for 2.99 a quart for her car!
When I went to check out I asked if when there next shipment would be in, but sadly he said it's a manufacturer over-run.. so he wasn't sure if they'd get anymore in.. but at 4.99 a quart for AMS oil I'm not complaning. So guys just be on the look out at the little Auto Zones or Murrys.. whatever auto parts store you have near you they may have it in stock for a limited time! For all the Chicago land guys I picked it up at the Murrys on the corner of Leland and Millwaukee. I'm a little curious to see if the cars going to feel/run any different once I change the oil tomorrow..

 

Do you mean Amsoil? If so, they have nothing to do with AMS in Chicago...

No sorry.. it is AMSOIL.. I know it's nothing to do with AMS performance.. I just said AMS oil seeing it appears to be two words since AMS is red, and OIL is blue.. My bad, but it is the same stuff Apagan sells

 

Best stuff ever in my opinion. Even put it in my wife's van.

 

good deal man, I'm still doing the walmart run for the mobil at $28 bucks for a 5qt jug which isn't too bad but it would be nice to see some amsoil around

 

thats a steal i will be watching that is what i run anyway so if i can get it for that price that would be great

 

never used it i might change to it soon
